Quick Post on a Quick Project

So any of you who follow me on Pinterest likely are aware that I am a Pinterest addict. Or maybe you're not, because by now, most of you have gotten sick of it and no longer log on and thus see how frequently I still pin items. But I can't help it! I've always been one of those people that tear pages out of magazines and catalogues, and I love looking at pretty pictures.

Alas, as is the case with most Pinterest users, it's not often that I actually follow through on replicating my Pinterest faves on my own. Oh sure, I make the occasional recipe here and there, and will heavily research how much it costs to apply board and batten siding to my house, but to actually act on one of my Pinterest pins or likes... that's another story.

Well today I decided that enough was enough. I believe the image below was one of my first pins ever.

It's nothing crazy. Just a pretty way to organize cooking utensils. (With emphasis on my beloved wooden tools.) And yet I look at this image again and again when going through my pins, but have never done anything about it!

Granted, the lighting is horrible, the photo is taken with my crappy iPhone, and my countertops and backsplash are ... gasp ... laminate ("we figure granite will eventually go out of style," - delusional previous owners), but I suddenly feel a bit happier when walking over to my stove. Even better, the only thing I had to purchase to complete this oh-so-extensive makeover was the tray (which was on clearance at Target)!

Some days, it's the little things....
